Our Story
Being a mom is amazing, wonderful, fun and beautiful. It’s also frustrating, exhausting and just plain hard. And you know what? No one tells you that second little nugget of truth before you have babies, because honestly, if we really knew what we were getting into, we might not have been brave enough to bring new little lives into this world.
But, seriously, aren’t you so glad you did? Yes, motherhood is the hardest job ever, but it’s also the best job ever—the pay may be low, but the payoff is priceless.
We want you to know we totally get it. We get the immense sweetness of snuggling a sleepy newborn and the intense frustration of potty-training a toddler. We’ve swollen with pride at our kids’ accomplishments and cried tears of anguish over their setbacks. We’ve been there, and we’re still doing that.
In short, we get you, because we are you. And if there’s one thing we’ve learned in all our years of motherhood, it’s that we were not made to do this exquisitely beautiful, hard, wonderful, impossible job alone.
We need each other, Moms. We need other moms we can talk with, laugh with, cry with and learn from. We need to share our triumphs and our tragedies. We need to share our good stories and our hard stories so we can learn from them together. Because even though the constant pull of little hands can make you feel isolated, you are not alone. There is another mom somewhere feeling the exact same thing—or better yet, who’s already felt it—who can give you encouragement to get past this bump in your motherhood journey.
We’ve said all this to say this: Welcome. We made Daily Mom Tips because we wanted a place online where women could experience the essentials of motherhood: laughter, community, and really awesome parenting tips. This is a place where we’re all in it together: working moms, stay-at-home-moms, stepmoms, adoptive moms, foster moms, single moms, married moms, new moms and experienced moms. We may be at different stages of motherhood, but every mom is a full-time mom. And you are ALL welcome here.
So are you ready to get your Mom on? Ready to laugh ’til you cry, nod your head in agreement, sigh with relief, get refreshed and high-five yourself all while visiting just one website? Then you’re ready to dive in. It’s like a SPA for your Mom-mind! Pull up a chair, sister! We got what you need to nail this mom thing, and we’re so glad you’re here.
